Scripture Text: 2 Cor 6: 1-2
1. The salvation of God is His free grace and mercy to sinners to deliver us from our sins. Every believer must know this truth from his heart. In 2 Cor 6:2, the Apostle Paul was reminding himself of his own conversion how God has wonderfully saved him.
2. The Bible tells us now is the accepted time which means this is period of opportunity given by God that we can have His means to hear His Gospel to be saved. We must not harden our hearts in such acceptable time.
3. The Bible says that now is the day of salvation. Salvation means deliverance from spiritual and eternal destruction. We have to be saved because we have departed from God in our sins. We face the impending judgment from the Lord.
4. God uses His laws to drive us to Himself as we see our sinfulness and the need to trust in the righteousness of Jesus to impute on us.
5. The Bible tells us that salvation time is now i.e. today. It is not our past achievements that will save us. It is also not tomorrow that we hope to be saved. We must not procrastinate in believing in the Lord Jesus Christ to be our Saviour. There are many “too-laters” in Hell today.
