1. “America’s first Gay President”
sign of our Lord’s soon return
“Newsweek,” a leading American news magazine, in a recent issue, announced that President Obama has come out publicly to declare his support of “gay marriage.” Downloaded from the internet is this news release: “In a gutsy move, Newsweek has released the cover of their next issue, on which they depict President Obama with a rainbow halo and the title of ‘The First Gay President’.”
“The news magazine is using the shock factor of labeling the straight, married, father-of-two President to draw attention to itself.”
The article continues ….”When you step back a little and assess the record of Obama on gay rights, you see, in fact, that this was not an aberration. It was an inevitable culmination of three years of work,” said Mr. Andrew Sullivan (an openly gay political commentator).
The President’s support of gay marriage came as no surprise.
“This was, however, the first time that a sitting President had done so …” concludes the Newsweek article. “President Obama’s announcement came several days after Vice President Joe Biden said that he was “absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and men and women marrying are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.”
2. “Gay society’s destruction” foretold 2,000 years ago
The proliferation of the “Gay society” now spearheaded by the USA was foretold by our Lord Jesus some 2,000 years ago (Luke 17:28-30). American’s “leading role” will soon spread around the globe (which already has “gone gay” in many parts).
When the “gaying process” reaches an intolerable level, God from heaven will rain “fire and brimstone” and destroy them all, as He did to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and they shall not escape.
“Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:30).
In these “last of the last days” we who have the Gospel must raise the warning:
“Repent! Before the fire and brimstone of God’s wrath descends on Planet Earth.” Now is the
accepted time! Now is the day of salvation! Flee from the destruction to come!
3. Another sign is: “Days of Noe”
The passage in Luke 17:26-27 is augmented by the Apostle Peter’s letter (2 Pet 3:3-14). In this passage, Peter looks down the future. No doubt whatsoever, the Lord will come, as the flood came in the time of Noah: “Whereby the world …being overflowed with water, perished” (v 6).
In those days, Noah, “preacher of righteousness” (2 Pet 2:5), preached to scoffers who would not believe that there could ever be rain, simply because it had not rained before (Gen 2:5)!
Noah’s preaching fell on deaf ears, until the rain fell in torrents while the “fountains of the great deep” disgorged water from underground sources. The people were blinded by their unbelief.
Today’s masses are no different. How can people believe in the Lord’s bodily return
– descending to earth from Heaven – when they don’t even believe in His resurrection?
Many churches and Christians no longer believe that Jesus had risen from the dead!
These are the scoffers who will receive their just retribution – the wrath of the Lamb.
4. Hear what the Lord says
Our Lord warned of false Christians, false preachers and false pastors, who vainly expect to be welcomed into Heaven. Read Matthew’s Gospel 7:21-23:
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Another warning, more stern, is Matthew 24:24:
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
The time to raise the warning is now! Everywhere we encounter “false Christs and false prophets” and “Christian ministers” and “self-styled apostles” who “shew great signs and wonders” deceiving the masses.
The proliferation of such deceivers indicates that the day of our Lord’s return is near, even at the doors.
Question: Are you ready? “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matt 24:42).
Yours faithfully in Jesus our Lord
