The Psalmist acknowledged his weaknesses and helplessness, so he humbly sought the Lord with his whole heart, “With my whole heart have I sought thee” (v 10). What about you and me? The Lord Jesus knows that we need Him and that without Him we cannot do anything (John 15:5), but sadly not many of us truly acknowledge that we do need the Lord and we cannot live without Him. Only by such heart knowledge will you and I humbly and wholeheartedly seek the Lord and His Word first, depend on Him and pray to Him to guide us and keep us in His Word, “O let me not wander from thy commandments” (v 10), and “Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes” (v 12).
